Shaun Barker is the Director of UBC’s Mineral Deposit Research Unit within the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences. He collaborates with industry partners to build improved ore body knowledge to help discover new mineral resources needed for low-carbon technology. His research on ore body knowledge aims to improve the environmental performance of mining operations through increased understanding of the mineral and chemical character of mineral resources.
